Keeping cool!

We know how important it is for us to stay hydrated and keep cool; but it can be easy to forget about doing the same for our four-legged friends. Do you turn off the air conditioning when you go to work? If so, try to leave a fan on if your pets are home. Also, don't forget to leave out fresh water (also consider a bowl of ice cubes in a separate bowl to create a refreshed drink later).

Never leave your pets in a car while you shop or "run in real quick" for an errand. Animals' body heat rises much faster than humans'! Not to mention that the inside of a car can double it's temperature in just a matter of minutes! So next time that you want to take Fido for a car ride, ask yourself if it's worth the risk and maybe a walk after the sun goes down can offer a better bonding experience for you both!
